Elise Bennett Heydecker Fields

After a prolonged bout with pneumonia as a young child, Elise was diagnosed as profoundly deaf. She worked for Pan Am as an interpreter for the deaf until she retired around 1989.
As an avid skier, she broke her leg very seriously in the French Alps during the mid 70's, but fully recuperated.
